 Mike Farr has been in the Racing Shock Industry for over 20 years. He had been with Carrera Shocks of Atlanta, Ga. since 1984 thru 1994 and worked for Pro Shocks another Shock Manufacturer until 1999  then back at Carrera since 1999 thru 2003. Mike works with all kind’s of dirt cars and also helped out with Street Rod’s as well as Asphalt cars.

 

 Mike is currently a co owner of Genesis Shocks with manufacturing and corporate headquarters based in Roswell, GA, Marketed under the product name of Genesis Racing Shocks, the company has committed to offering key innovations and designs in shocks used for competition in dirt and asphalt racing. Genesis Racing Shocks will offer a variety of shocks to meet all needs including non-adjustable and double adjustable mono-tube gas shocks, with and without a reservoir, triple adjustable shocks and others. Genesis Racing Shocks personnel will also be at race tracks servicing their products and will also make available technology information and data.

 

Mike  is a former dirt track and drag racer who spent numerous years working in the automotive field. He then went on to spend 21 years in the racing shock business including stints with Carrera Shocks and Pro Shocks. Mike  has also worked in the racing fuel business with VP Racing Fuel. Mike's customers over the years have won the sports biggest races including the World 100, Dirt Track World Championship and many others. Mike's nearly 40 years of motorsports participation and expertise in shock design and development brings a substantial impact to Genesis Racing Shocks.

 
Mike travels to over 30 races and trade shows a year  so if you run across him he’ll be glad to answer any questions you may have. Prior to moving to Atlanta Mike lived in Erie, Pa. for over 35 years and was employed in the automobile business as a new car sales manger, salesman and service manger. He also held a Pennsylvania State inspection license as a mechanic and was employed part time at B&H Speed Shop in Erie and raced locality in the Erie area for over 7 years.

As suspension and shocks consultant, crewed on Bobby Allison's

Daytona 500 winning Winston Cup & Busch Grand National Team.

 “All-Star Circuit of Champions Dirt Late Model Appreciation Award” in 1987.

Received 1995 "STARS” Short Track Auto Racing’s "Man of the Year Award".

In 2003, He was nominated for the Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame in the

     “Lifetime Achievement” category.

Owned, drove and maintained racecars for over 7 years.

Crew-chiefed for two years on back - to - back track championship team.

Drove in over 200 races. Raced Limited Late-Model,

Late Model Sportsman and Dirt Modifieds at tracks in  

      Northwestern Pennsylvania, Ohio and New York,

including the D.I.R.T. Series and Legend Cars in Georgia.
